State-Wide Mass Meeting Scheduled in Sweatt Case

Houston.—A state-wide mass meeting supporting the Sweatt case is scheduled for the Dome Miller auditorium in Austin, Texas, Monday night, Dec. 16. The meeting is sponsored by the Austin branch NAACP in cooperation with the students of the University of Texas who are endorsing Heman Marion Sweatt to enter the university.

The meeting will begin promptly at 8 p.m. and among the speakers are the Rev. A.A. Lucas, president of the Houston branch; Attorney W.J. Durham, who is handling the case, and J. H. Morton, president of the Austin Branch. Mrs. Lulu B. White, executive secretary of Houston branch, will serve as mistress of ceremonies.
